2010 Ola Pono Ike Medical Gala

This year we feature the inauguration of HMA's new president Dr. Morris Mitsunaga and guest speaker Dr. James Rohack, AMA Immediate Past President. The program also includes the recognition of outstanding community leaders in health care, including:
- Physician of the Year - Dr. Linda Rasmussen
- Lifetime Achievement Award - Dr. Neal Winn (posthumous)
- Legislator of the Year - Senator Clarence Nishihara
- President's Award - Arthur Roeca and Jodie Roeca
Your generous participation helps further our mission to support physicians, patients, and the community through representation, advocacy, and public service. A portion of the proceeds will go to the HMA Auxiliary Endowment for the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine, which helps fund medical student scholarships.

Go online or call 800-325-3535 and mention the HMA 2010 Annual Meeting & Ola Pono Ike. Run of house rates are $179.00 kamaaina, $210.00 non-kamaaina. Rates are for single/double occupancy, plus tax. Additional persons, up to four, are at $90.00. Children 17 and under stay for free with existing bedding. Rates are available Friday, Oct. 1st and Saturday, Oct. 2nd, with an additional 3 days prior and after subject to availability.

2010 HMA Financial & Practice Management Seminars
Please join us for complimentary dinner seminars on topics designed to help you with financial and practice management issues. This is a benefit for HMA members only, though each member is allowed to bring one non-member, physician colleague guest to each event.

- September 9: Hawaii Health Insurance: State of the Industry (5:30pm at the Queen's Conference Center; open to all non-member physicians at a cost of $20 each)
- October 7: Revenue Cycle Management - WIFMP?: "Challenges and opportunities facing health care practices in today's ever changing environment"
- October 28: Long Term Care Planning and is LTC for You?

2010 Council Meetings

All HMA members are invited to attend. Voting privileges are limited to Councilors and any members appointed to represent a vacant seat at that meeting. HMA Past Presidents are ex-officio members of the Council.
