I am a current member of Hawaii Medical Association.

Overall I am satisfied with the value of membership in HMA.

HMA’s advocacy program provides representation of physicians at the state legislature in areas such as tort reform, reimbursements, and scope of practice. I feel this program is an important function of the association.

HMA’s CME accreditation program allows 15 hospitals/medical organizations located in Hawaii, Guam and American Samoa to provide regular CME activities to physicians. I feel this program is an important function of the association.

HMA’s peer review program handles patient complaints for members as an alternative to the Regulated Industry Complaint Office (RICO). I feel this program is an important function of the association.

I believe that HMA represents its members’ concerns when making decisions.

The HMA website, newsletter, and email/fax alerts help keep me informed.

The Hawaii Medical Journal provides useful medical and scientific information.

HMA’s Physician Directory is a valuable reference tool for Hawaii’s health care industry.

Honolulu County Medical Society provides social networking opportunities. I feel this program is an important function of the society.
