What should a resolution consist of?
Guidelines for resolutions:

- "Whereas" clauses should accurately support "resolve" clauses.
- "Resolve" clauses should be written as stand alone statements. The House of Delegates will adopt the "resolve" clauses of resolutions only.
- Resolutions that call for the expediture of funds, regardless of amount, must include a fiscal note.
- To assure that the intent of the resolution is clearly understood, please pay attention to grammar, spelling, and sentence structure.
