Take the Opportunity - Join a Committee
 
Let us know how you would like to be involved in your organization. HMA is governed by its members. Priorities, policies, and activities are recommended by its committees and approved by the HMA Council, the policy-making body elected by members. To make the organization strong and viable all member input is important. Listed below are the various committees that are currently accepting new members. To join a committee or for further information please contact HMA:  (808) 536-7702 or toll-free (888) 536-2792.

Open Committees:
  • CME Facilities Accreditation Committee – Implement quality CME standards.
  • Hawaii Consortium for CME – Provides sponsorship and oversight of CME for JABSOM and non-accredited Hawaii organizations [approval process applies].
  • HIT Committee - Review health information technology issues and be an HIT resource for members.
  • Legislative Committee – Advocate for the provision of quality health care in Hawaii through legislation and government relations.
  • Medical Care Advisory Group for MIEC – Review medical liability cases. [currently full]
  • Ola Pono Ike Committee – Assist with planning and fundraising for annual gala dinner and fundraiser.
